Florio Winery, a historic producer in Marsala, Sicily, is renowned for its production of Marsala wine. Founded in 1833 by Vincenzo Florio, it played a key role in popularizing Marsala globally. Florio's cellars, built in tufo stone, house thousands of oak barrels where Marsala ages, influencing its complex flavors and aromas.
THE CHALLENGE
This project was a fun challenge, I was tasked with creating 3 illustrations of how versatile Florio Marsala wine can inspire your creative side, through cooking, as an aperitif and in a cocktail. The illustration was going to be paired with the appropriate Florio wine bottle.
Inspiration for the illustrations were produced by my Sr. Design, as old Italian poster art style throughout their platform.
THE PROCESS
This project had a quick turn around, as I had 4 days to complete the task. Though, I did get to review my design from my Sr. Designer before handing off to the client. I used colours from Florio's' design library and began researching appropriate glassware for the illustrations as well as which meals were best suited for the product.
I successfully completed the task on time and in a style that blended seamlessly with the platform branding. The project did hit a bit of a speed bump which changed the visual outcome of my designs and resulted in reworking the illustrations in a different style to match the platform.
INFO LAYOUT
Small product design task to design a layout for both web and mobile on the Wine spec layout. I also supported my team with editing bottles to ensure only the bottle remained and turned into SVGs.
CONCLUSION
I had learn I how to be adaptive to sudden changes and to find creative ways I could design efficiently to successfully complete this task.
