Muse 2 Packaging Design
My Roles Graphic Design | Illustration
Muse is a Toronto-based leader in neurotechnology who have created their own research-grade EEG headbands that sends live biosignal's to their sleep / meditation app. I was brought onto the project as apart of an agile team to help contribute to in-app improvements over a 3 year span.
THE CHALLENGE
Muse had recently updated their 'S' model headband packaging and felt it was time they updated their Muse '2' headband as well, since it had been 5 years since the original design. The packaging needed to have a similar style as the 'S' models, use of both illustration and imagery of product, space left for product spec information, various translations, and include gloss accent mark-outs.

THE PROCESS
The old design file was handed over to me to use template for the new packaging design. I brought in all the required information, imagery and design elements and began to play with different possible layouts. I kept the packaging colours and font styles on brand from Muse design library as well as in app elements to add intrigue to the packaging.

CONCLUSION
The packaging design had gone through 3 rounds of layout revisions and a few additional ones which were just to update spec information, language translations and mark-outs for gloss accents on the packaging. I loved how the final product look and had a lot of fun trying to design something sleek and eye catching to users.
